On Friday we had a visit from Llangafelach Primary School. Our class worked with year 2 and set up different activities for the children to complete throughout the day. I worked in a group with Emily and Rhiannon and worked on a programme called "Crazy Talk". Our activity was to take photos of the children then put them onto Crazy Talk, the children then had to use different tools to change their eyes and teeth, and edit the animation of their photo. When they had done that they were able to record themselves talking about their houses as they have been learning about different houses in school. Finally the children put a picture of their house in for the background. I feel that the activity went very well, and all of the children were able to complete their work and play around with some of the other tools on the programme. Most of the children really enjoyed using Crazy Talk and were enthusiastic while they were making their photos talk. When we first started the activity I felt that we were just telling the children what to do and what to click, so we changed the way we set out the activity with the next group of children. Instead of instructing each child while they were carrying out the activity, we demonstrated what the children had to do in a group. Then when the children went to complete their own work they all had an idea of what they had to do, and if they forgot something they asked for help. At the end of each session the children demonstrated what skills they had learnt as they used the animal pictures on Crazy Talk and edited them and made them talk without help.
